Delaware Weather

Traveling to Delaware will usually mean that you will encounter a moderate climate. Delaware weather is greatly affected by the Atlantic Ocean as it does have a coastline. The size of the state means that you will not see much of a difference in the weather no matter where in the state you are. Delaware is only about a hundred miles from the northern to the southern tips. There are only two counties in the state that see a significant difference in the winter and those are New Castle County and Sussex County. Delaware weather falls under humid subtropical climate with a little of continental climate.

To put it in other words Delaware can be a great place to visit almost at any time of the year as it has an average yearly temperature of 54 F and it only sees an average of 20 inches of rainfall. The summers are the one time that may give visitors a little too much humidity.
